The Diagnostic Imaging department provides services using picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) technology, in partnership with the Southwest Ontario Digital Imaging Network.  X-ray, ultrasound, stress testing, electrocardiogram and respiratory therapy are the suite of services offered.

 

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH) is actively seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist in the Diagnostic Imaging Department department on a part time basis.

Qualifications

  • Currently registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiology Technologist of Ontario (CMRTO) required.
  • Ability to employ radiation safety measures as prescribed in the Radiation Safety Policy Manual
  • Ability to understand and follow written procedures.
  • Completion of the Certificate of Breast Imaging (CBI) an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment for successful completion of the Certificate of Breast Imaging
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft, Work, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions and changing demands.
  • Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within a team to contribute to a positive work life.
  • Is cognizant of emotions and experiences of others while communicating with patient, families and team members.
  • Able to recognize the importance of managing your emotions and the impact that it has on patients, team morale and performance.
  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a high stress environment.
  • Must be willing to complete the IV therapy training course.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Other Pertinent Conditions

  • Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, stat holidays, day, evening and night shifts
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check and meet Health Clearance requirements including full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of the job offer.

  • Salary Range: $32.99 - $44.22
