Sandy Jansen, President and CEO, announced today that beginning in January, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH) will begin providing same-day joint replacement surgeries for hips and knees in the New Year. This progressive model is possible for eligible patients due to an evolution in the total joint process with an emphasis on regional anesthesia, surgical approach and outpatient rehabilitation thus decreasing recovery times and length of stay in hospital. This new and exciting much needed program for the community is the latest in the expansion of the surgical program at TDMH that was announced in June 2020.
